Gaza Appeal

The Gaza Strip is currently facing severe challenges due to ongoing aggression and a prolonged blockade. Life in the region is in a state of complete paralysis, with many individuals unable to work, which hampers families' ability to meet their daily needs. Thousands have lost their lives, and many more have been injured. Additionally, there is a complete disruption of electricity, water, and communication services.

Numerous residential buildings, government offices, municipalities, and shops have been destroyed, along with attacks on hospitals, health centres, schools, and universities. Over 70% of the workforce has been lost, resulting in a significant decline in household incomes.

According to Article 11 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, the States Parties recognize the right of every individual to an adequate standard of living for themselves and their families, which includes the basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter. Furthermore, Global Sustainable Development Goal No. 2 aims to end hunger and ensure food security and improved nutrition for all.

In response to this crisis, a truck carrying food baskets from Egypt has been supplied to the Gaza Strip to help meet the food needs of 1,180 affected families during this period of aggression.

In partnership with organizations in Gaza, the Sadaqah Project is raising funds for a project that will assist those affected in Gaza.
